Entry requirements by study mode
Full-time National Diploma applicants must meet NBTE O-Level requirements for their chosen programme, obtain JAMB UTME, and complete RECTEM screening and registration.
O-Level entry
Five credit passes at G.C.E. Ordinary Level, SSCE, WASC, NECO, NABTEB, NTC, or Teachers Grade II, obtained at not more than two sittings. Subject requirements vary by programme — see each department page or the NBTE curriculum for your chosen course.
Programme-specific subjects
Each ND course has mandatory O-Level credit subjects defined in the NBTE curriculum (e.g. English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry for engineering programmes). Open the department page for exact requirements.
Pre-ND entry
Four credit passes in relevant subjects at the final examination of an NBTE-recognised Pre-National Diploma programme at an approved polytechnic or similar post-secondary technical institution.
JAMB UTME
Candidates for full-time ND programmes must sit the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and meet the institution's cut-off mark for their chosen course, as published in the current UTME brochure.

Screening
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for document verification, written assessment, or interview. Bring originals and photocopies of all claimed qualifications.

Successful candidates receive an admission letter. Accept the offer within the stated deadline and pay the acceptance fee to secure your place.

Registration
Complete departmental and bursary registration, pay tuition and ancillary fees, and obtain your student identity for the session.
