Entry requirements by study mode
HND applicants must hold a relevant ND from an accredited institution, satisfy O-Level requirements, complete post-ND industrial training, and pass RECTEM screening.
ND qualification
A National Diploma (ND) in the same or a closely related discipline from an NBTE-accredited polytechnic or monotechnic. Most programmes require a minimum of Lower Credit; a few accept Pass with relevant industrial experience — verify against the current NBTE curriculum for your course.
Industrial training (IT)
Evidence of at least twelve (12) months of supervised industrial training in a relevant industry after the ND programme, supported by an IT letter, logbook, and report as required by NBTE.
O-Level requirements
Candidates must also satisfy O-Level requirements for the programme (typically five credits including English Language and Mathematics at G.C.E. Ordinary Level, SSCE, WASC, NECO, NABTEB, NTC, or Teachers Grade II, obtained at not more than two sittings).
Transcripts
Official ND statement of result and/or transcript from the awarding institution. Direct Entry candidates with equivalent qualifications should contact admissions for evaluation.
JAMB / direct entry
HND admission is usually based on ND performance, industrial training, and institutional screening. JAMB UTME is not typically required for standard HND entry; confirm with admissions if you are applying through a special route.

Accepted candidates complete departmental registration and fee payment before the session begins.

Screening
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for document verification, written assessment, or interview. Bring originals and photocopies of all claimed qualifications.

Offer & acceptance
Successful candidates receive an admission letter. Accept the offer within the stated deadline and pay the acceptance fee to secure your place.

Registration
Complete departmental and bursary registration, pay tuition and ancillary fees, and obtain your student identity for the session.
